Pasadena Earth and Arts Festival
The Armory Center for the Arts has asked Peter Tolkin Architecture to design and install a variation of our Dunnage Ball series at the upcoming Pasadena Earth and Arts Festival. Peter Tolkin Architecture, with assistance from former employee Leigh Jerrard, has designed Torus, an interactive sculptural installation 30 feet in diameter, 15 feet tall, and made up of 90 dunnage bags. Like its dynamic predecessor Dunnage Ball, which drew crowds at the 2008 Glow festival in Santa Monica, Torus promises to inspire adults and children alike at this one-day celebration of the earth and the arts. Many thanks to Stopak and Sunrise Manufacturing for their kind donation of the dunnage bags.
